For more than 26 years, 1st Time Driving Academy has taught new drivers how to stay safe, confident, and in control. Located in Sammamish and serving families across the Eastside, we specialize in teen driver education, adaptive instruction, and one-on-one coaching that prepares students for real-world driving and the Washington road test.
Our Story
Dan Barker, commonly known as Driver Dan, started First Time Driving Academy with one goal — to help students become safe, confident drivers. Over the years, he has earned the trust of families throughout Sammamish and the surrounding communities by providing clear instruction, dependable results, and a personal approach to driver training. His dedication to safety and professionalism has made him a familiar and trusted name among local families.
What We Teach
